TRIP TO THE GOLAN

Over the weekend we were on a family trip to the Golan Heights in the north on the border to Syria. Strictly speaking it’s not a border. Rather a ceasefire line. A line that merely show where the fighting stopped during the war of 1973. There has never been a peace agreement with Syria. So no border. But that’s another story.

The Golan Heights are an incredibly beautiful and a very different area. Different because it doesn’t look like any other place in Israel. The geography, the nature, the air… everything is different.

Here you’ll just get one picture as a kind of teaser. Later – when I’ve worked on some more pictures – I’ll probably show them in an entire gallery from our hike in the Golan Heights.
